The Roaring Bear octafuzz is my personal favourite a real beats. The FUZZ side is a really thick and full sounding silicone fuzz with two germanium diodes in the hard clipping stage. It is really capable of push the whole audience a few meters/feet/potatoes/whatever away.
The TONE pot acts like a filter that eliminates certain frequencies thus creating different textures at any position. The FUZZ pot regulates the amount of damage you cause in anyone’s eardrum.
The OCTA side also accupies two germanium diodes and makes the effect really sings when engaged with your guitar at neck position, volume and tone set back to around halfway.
The Roaring Bear offers you a great bunch of happy noises that can be summonded with tweaking your guitar and the OCTA footswitch. Have fun if you dare!
